Job description

To develop, manage and deliver an Education programme linking the Seamus Heaney HomePlace, with the landscape of the area and the community, ensuring that all sectors are provided with the quality learning opportunities required to sustain an internationally renowned arts and cultural venue and world class visitor attraction. Responsibilities

  • To engage with the education sector and the community, incorporating young people and adults, to provide targeted and tailored education programmes
  • To develop and produce a range of education resources which fully complement the exhibition and arts and cultural programme of HomePlace as well as the landscape of HomeGround
  • To build and develop relationships within the education sector, locally, nationally and internationally to enhance the visitor experience and ensure the long term sustainability of HomePlace and its outreach programmes

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification e.g. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), English or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
