Anchor is a Christian counselling service affiliated to Christian Fellowship Church. .
Responsibilities
- The post holder will develop, coordinate and manage all aspects of Anchor Counselling including client care, volunteering/ staffing and ongoing team development and training, professional supervision.
- The post provides the opportunity to head up a dynamic service and to support and develop the vision of CFC in providing an integrated and developmental approach to counselling services to serve both the church and the wider community.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Third level qualification in Counselling (or equivalent), accredited Counsellor or working towards accreditation and BACP or ACC Membership or involvement or an equivalent accreditation body.
- A minimum of three years experience in the last five years providing counselling, preferably in a counselling agency.
- A minimum of two years experience on the past five years working as the manager of a team providing motivation, training and development.
- Clinical experience working with children, young adults and adults.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build, sustain and influence relationships with volunteers, clients and other stakeholders and good communication skills with excellent written and oral skills.
- Ability to think creatively and to translate these ideas into clear strategies, ability to work with others effectively and build trust and confidence with the team, client and other users and computer literate.
- The successful candidate must be passionate about Jesus and in full agreement with the vision and values of CFC and they must be flexible, willing to work unsociable hours and able to perform well under pressure.
- To prioritise and manage their own workload.
