Job description

The Pharmacist appointed will be a member of the aseptics & manufacturing team, providing pharmaceutical technical services to patients across the WHSCT. To work as a specialist practitioner, providing a high quality, evidence-based clinical pharmacy service for parenteral nutrition and CIVAs service in accordance with objectives set by the Lead Pharmacist(s). To work as part of the technical services team ensuring the provision of a responsive, high quality, safe and effective service to the customers of the Pharmacy Aseptic Unit. To provide the service in accordance with the current standards and ensure the safe, rational and cost effective use of pharmaceuticals at patient level. Responsibilities

• To provide operational and professional support to the lead pharmacist for aseptic services
• In conjunction with the senior technician, plan and organise the day to day running of the aseptic & manufacturing unit

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• M Pharm or equivalent qualification
• 2 years post registration experience in Pharmacy

Desirable Skills

• 3 months experience of working in a pharmacy aseptic, radiopharmacy or quality assurance environment
• Commitment to post-graduate education and training
