Administration and Clerical Officer (with word processing duties) Orthopaedic ICATS, Band 3


Job description

The post holder will work to provide administrative support to the Orthopaedic ICATS service and will organise and prioritise workload. The post holder will maintain/update records held within the department (including audiotyping duties) and will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services. The post holder will be involved in clinic booking and cancellation, participate in the management of diagnostic reports, manage incoming and outgoing mail and will support in the preparation of reports and presentations. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining databases for Orthopaedic ICATS by ensuring that information is recorded and stored accurately, and extracting information as required
  • Responsible for organising & booking Clinics for patients to be seen by the Orthopaedic ICATS clinicians This will include cancellation & reorganization of clinics often at short notice and will require liaison with the booking and contact centre

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent/higher qualification And 1 year's experience in a clerical/administrative role
  • Or 2 years experience in a clerical/administrative role

Further Information

Salary: £22,816 - £23,177 per annum pro rata.
