Job description

Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ISO standards and industry best practices. Prepare and conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments. .

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ISO standards and industry best practices
• Prepare and conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
• Provide guidance and support to employees and management on safety-related matters, including training programs, hazard communication, and emergency response procedures
• Investigate and report on workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses
• Maintain safety records and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and drive continuous improvement
• Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety regulations and industry trends

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• At least three years experience in a health and safety role where you have had responsibility for some, and ideally all, responsibilities above
• NEBOSH qualified is essential
• Academic qualification in relevant discipline
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Be able to positively engage coach the wider teams towards a culture of safety
• Proficient in MS Office packages
