Job description

We are seeking a Brickwork Technician for our client, the main provider of further education across Northern Ireland based in Ballymena..

Responsibilities

• Preparation of area, resources, materials, equipment and/or tools before classes arrive to carry out practical activities.
• Preparation of department for external events.
• Ensure resources, materials, equipment and/or tools are maintained and stored in good working order and reporting of any faults to Assistant Head of Department.
• Assessing the condition of resources, materials, equipment and/or tools with regard to health and safety before further issue.
• General tidying of stores and classroom.
• Regular cleaning of resources, materials, equipment, and/or tools.
• Deep clean of department.
• Dismantle and storage of relevant resources, materials, equipment and/or tools at the end of practical sessions.
• Disposing of used material in a safe and approved manner.
• Rotation and stock control of materials as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• GCSE Maths & English grades A-C (or equivalent).
• Level 3 in Brickwork
• Preferred experience in Brickwork environment.
• The successful candidate will need to be enhanced cleared
