Job description

The role involves the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for our 26 residents including preparation of modified diets in accordance with the IDDSI framework. This will include preparing high quality home cooked, fresh, nutritional meals and catering for any day to day dietary and cultural needs. .

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals in accordance with health and safety regulations, ensuring that special dietary requirements are accommodated.
  • Work closely with care team to address individual dietary needs and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a care setting.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of modified diets, IDDSI and dietary restrictions for individuals with learning disabilities and the elderly.

Further Information

Rate of pay can be negotiated based on experience but it will be a minimum £12.50 per hour.
