Job description

The employer is: MAXFIT. Managing our customer management software. This involves managing the ongoing notifications we receive through this software, such as failed payments, and member cancellations / inquiries. For example, if the software has flagged that member X's payment has failed for their July monthly membership fee, this needs to be manually retried or they need to contact the member and ask them to remedy the situation via a manual payment at the desk. Another notification may be a member asking us to change their payment method / details or payment due date. Another example would be, identifying members who are not attending the gym, marking them as sleepers so they are not contacted or contacting them to find out why they are not attending if they are on a more expensive tier of membership (this category are unlikely to keep a rolling DD going that they aren’t using). We also use this software to send out mass emails to our membership regarding events and offers we are running. Customer service, Shop front, POS and till management - We regularly have potential customers coming off the street to the front desk making inquiries in regards to gym memberships, personal training or supplements. The staff member on desk is responsible for handling these inquiries, they will need to explain to the potential customer, what we have to offer in whatever area of interest they may be expressing. If they wish to buy, they will then need to onboard them. For example, Someone has walked in and they want to sign up to the basic gym membership, the staff member will need to manually sign them up, taking their details, taking their picture etc, they will need to provide them with a PARQ and waiver to sign, they then need to file these documents, after this they need to set the member up with a fob and show them around the facility. We also sell supplements and frozen meals at the front desk, this involves managing the till and point of sale. Managing general gym operations - Music playlists need to be changed depending on the time of the day. Stock needs checked daily and regular reorders put in for anything that is running low. Vending machine needs refilled regularly, Blue roll and disinfection sprays need to be kept stocked up on the gym floor for members, toilets and showers cleanliness needs to be kept to a certain standard, hand wash and toilet roll can't run out, gym floor needs to be kept to a reasonable standard of tidiness (weights put back etc). If the staff member is opening or closing, they need to make sure the place is locked properly, alarms are set, all switches, lights and heaters are turned off, music is turned off etc..

Responsibilities

  • Shop assistant - Using POS system and till.
  • Customer care assistant - Using gym member management software and dealing with customer inquiries in person and over the phone.
  • Facility management - Managing gym operations.
  • Cleaning - Cleaning showers, toilets, floors etc.

Further Information

The employer is: MAXFIT. Salary: Under 18 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 & over £11.44 per hour. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
