Job description

The Senior Head of Planning will be responsible for leading the strategic, corporate, service and capital planning agenda for the Trust. The role will include identifying, planning, supporting and evaluating the Trusts strategic and operational plans. The post holder will provide strong leadership and direction to ensure that strategic planning and development processes fully reflect the priorities of the Trust. The post holder will provide leadership to deliver successful achievement of key goals and tasks within a complex and varied planning programme taking into account wider developments in the health and social care environment..

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the Trust Strategic Plan and Annual Operational Management plans align with strategic and regional objectives.
• Ensure a coordinated planning process within and across service areas, resulting in an integrated approach through the co-ordination of a business partnering arrangement to Directorates.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have experience of writing complex business cases within the public sector in line with the Better Business Case (BBC) NI guidance.
• Have project management experience delivering a major / complex scheme with a value over £5m.
• Demonstrate a knowledge of Health and Social Care related issues.
