Supply Chain Manager Band 5
Job description
The post holder will be responsible to the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager for the provision of an effective, efficient and economic stores function for the Trust. The post holder will be required to manage both the Daisy Hill Hospital and St Luke’s Receipt and Distribution Centres..
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high quality working relationships with internal and external colleagues
- Liaise with suppliers of both stock and non-stock products. Reconcile queries in relation to returns, credit notes and any other discrepancies as arise.
- Monitor the quality of services provided and take action as appropriate to ensure that services are responsive to changing demands and that they meet Trust requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A university degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business /management or supply related field)
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CILT/CIPS) and at least 1 years experience in procurement / logistics / supplies at supervisory level
- HNC/HND or equivalent in a business or management or supply related field and at least 2 years experience in procurement / logistics / supplies at supervisory level
- At least 3 years experience in procurement / logistics / supplies at supervisory level.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Products to include Outlook, Word and Excel
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approve
Desirable Skills
- Experience in the use of IT systems within the area of Finance / Procurement or Logistics.
