Access to Healthcare Support Officer Band 3
Job description
The post will require a person who is highly motivated, is methodical and organised and who can offer the highest standards of accuracy, integrity and confidentiality. The post holder will be important member of the team responsible for the verification of claims made by patients to entitlement to access health care in Northern Ireland. .
Responsibilities
- Action, as appropriate, all elements of the entitlement verification process: e.g. Issue of initial query letters to patients.
- Verify the accuracy of all output from the Case Management System, including letters to patients.
- Deal directly with queries from patients, either by phone or in person.
- Enter on to case management system details of all correspondence and documentation received from patients.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Five GCSEs (including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths (Grades A - C) Or equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy or Higher Qualification
- Or 18 months relevant experience.
- Evidence of one years experience working with Microsoft Office or similar - Relevant experience is defined as working within a business environment undertaking administrative support
Desirable Skills
- Experience in using a similar processing system
- Knowledge of entitlement to access health care in Northern Ireland.
