Cardiology Nurse
Job description
The post holder will be required to provide clinical leadership to the Cardiac Nursing team that provides person-centred care in respect of cardiovascular risk management, primary and secondary cardiovascular prevention, drug therapies, caseload management, site programme activity and manage a clinical caseload which includes supporting patients and relatives following discharge from hospital. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will therefore be required to promote collaborative relationships with medical, nursing, allied health professionals and administrative staff across primary and secondary care..
Responsibilities
- To establish contact with patients referred for cardiac rehab and their relatives, where appropriate, during their hospital stay.
- To work as an integral part of the Cardiology Directorate to ensure that all organisational and departmental objectives are achieved.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Applicants must be registered on Part I of the NMC Register (Adult Nursing).

Desirable Skills
- Must be willing to complete Non-Medical Prescribing qualification within the next 3 years.
