Job description

Working as part of a team, you will provide an efficient and friendly service to customers, assisting as directed with all aspects of the food preparation and presentation to a high-quality standard within a café environment. You will also assist in the preparation of food for outside catering orders. .

Responsibilities

• Comply with all HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) regulations as necessary and all health and safety/hygiene standards.
• Maintain a hygienic and tidy environment. Ensure tables, accompaniments and counters are kept clean and adequately supplied throughout the service period.
• Preparing ingredients for cooking, organising and rotating stock.
• Check deliveries and food temperatures, completing records and operating the till as required. Report defection equipment/utensils/work and floor surfaces or any other health and safety issues etc. to your Line Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of basic food hygiene.
• Have or working towards essential skills Maths.
• Have or working towards essential skills English.
• Social media skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexible.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a café environment.
• Good communication and teamworking skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• High standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Further Information

The Employer is: A SAFE SPACE TO BE ME. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16/17 £6.40, 18/20yrs £8.60, 21yrs or over £11.44
