Job description

To contribute to, manage and develop general and specialist clinical pharmacy services within the medical wards in Craigavon Area Hospital and non-acute medical wards in Lurgan and South Tyrone. To optimise the medicine management process, drug use and pharmaceutical care to patients in Medicine. To work with patients, healthcare professionals and other professionals in primary and secondary care to meet the medication related needs of patients in Medicine. To be the first point of contact and support for Medicine on all matters relating to pharmacy. The post holder will line manage and supervise the clinical activities of both permanent and rotational..

Responsibilities

• Lead develop and deliver a comprehensive patient-focused specialist clinical pharmacy service to all patients (inpatients and outpatients) within medicine.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• MPharm in Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or eligible to register.
• Registered as a Pharmacist Independent Prescribe.
