Band 3 Admin Team Secretary
Job description
The post-holder will be required to provide an efficient and effective administrative support service including word processing of documents and diary management as required. The post-holder may be the first point of contact for members of the public making enquiries both in person and by telephone. The post-holder will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of a robust filing system. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification. .
Responsibilities
- To co-ordinate and process a range of correspondence in accordance with agreed procedures within area of responsibility
- To undertake a range of admin support duties including, making appointments, maintaining diaries, receiving, processing and distributing incoming mail, personally dealing with routine items, provision of typing support to senior staff
- To ensure that work for which responsible is processed in a timely manner in accordance with agreed performance standards and that any derogation is brought to the attention of a senior officer
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent/higher qualification And 1 year's experience in a clerical/administrative role Or 2 years experience in a clerical/administrative role
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Word
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport
