Job description

To work with other members of staff to meet the care needs of tenants with alcohol and drug misuse issues in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. To encourage tenants to make the scheme into a mutually supportive environment for themselves and their visitors..

Responsibilities

• To work with a team and operate within a framework to maximize individual potential, improve the health and quality of life for adults with alcohol and drug misuse issues.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Completion of a relevant qualification equivalent to QCF level 2 and at least one years experience working with homeless individuals and/or individuals who suffer addiction problems in a community or residential setting.
• OR At least two years experience working with homeless individuals and/or individuals who suffer addiction problems in a community or residential setting.
• Must be currently registered with NISCC or must achieve registration within 6 months.
• Previous administration experience e.g. completing support plans, housing forms etc.
