Job description

To provide technical support and assistance to Home Economics staff; and to provide a reprographic service, support and advice to members of the school staff in the preparation of printed materials..

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organise and basic construction of resources for teacher demonstrations and practical examinations.
• Set out equipment and materials for class use and remove same when class is complete.
• Undertake all tasks in relation to the reproduction of information, reports and booklets for a range of audiences including photocopying, laminating and binding.
• To ensure all photocopiers and reprographics machinery is cleaned on a regular basis and fully stocked with paper, toner etc.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• At least 5 GCSEs to include Mathematics and English (Grades A-C) and Home Economics or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, or equivalent office packages.

Desirable Skills

• A minimum of 6 months experience in a paid capacity of working in a Technician role.
• Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in maintaining stock control levels/ordering stock.
