Bakery Assistant role will help will all aspects within the bakery. This will include baking, decorating, cutting, packaging and labelling orders, keep up to date with all Food Hygiene certificates and allergens, serving and dealing with customers (making coffees etc.), assisting in assuring all recipes and allergens are up to date, and helping keep an organised and tidy kitchen area..

Responsibilities

• Work well within a team.
• Keep a tidy and organised workspace.
• Communicate and deal with customers in a professional manner.
• Assist in baking for both a busy bakery as well as our supply.
• Assist in the clearing up and organisation of a busy bakery.
• Assist in the set up of the prelabelled food.
• Candidate will be taught how to bake and decorate celebration cakes.
• Full barista training will be provided.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Team player.
• Must have excellent time management.
• It is essential that the candidate is organised.
• Must have previous baking experience or a hobby of baking.
• Be able to use EPOS system, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to take constructive feedback when it comes to bakes.
• Must be willing to learn and adapt as the bakery is constantly trying new things. We all work as a team to learn from each other and put out the best quality items and beverages that we can.

Desirable Skills

• Previous barista experience.
• Cake decorating skills.
• Previous experience working in a bakery or café.
• Previous customer service experience.

Further Information

The Employer is: TORI'S COFFEE, BAKES AND CAKES LIMITED Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16/17 £6.40, 18/20yrs £8.60, 21yrs or over £11.44 per hour
