Job description

Responsibilities

  • Every employee, regardless of position has a legal obligation placed upon him/her to conduct themselves in such a way as to avoid any Health or Safety risk to themselves, other employees or any persons affected by the work activity.
  • Co-operate with the company, to enable it to carry out its duties under the Health and Safety at Work Order/Act.
  • Set a good personal standard in relation to safe working practices. Report any near miss, accident and/or dangerous occurrence involving employees, members of the public, plant, material or equipment.
  • Report any injury however slight, occurring to themselves while at work. Report any hazards identified within the company.
  • Maintain good housekeeping. Use correct methods of work. Assist in any investigation of accidents/incidents.
  • Familiarise themselves and conform with the Health and Safety Policy. Familiarise themselves with the fire procedures and protocols. Observe the Safety rules and relevant codes of practices. Be sure that they are physically able to work.
  • Co-operate with all supervisors and managers at all times. Not interfere or misuse anything that is provided to safeguard their health and safety and others. Take care of their health and safety at all times.
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house and external training; Be involved and contribute at team meetings; Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office.
  • Contribute to providing a well maintained, appealing and safe environment. Together with excellent and efficient service, exceed the expectations of customer needs.
  • Assist with the park maintenance programme and carry out weekly/daily job lists. Keep up to date with current promotions and pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, while maximising sales opportunities.
  • Assist in the movement and siting of caravans. Assist with the ground maintenance and repairs to buildings and accommodation situated on the park. Carry out concreting and laying of paving slabs, maintaining and repairing of bases.
  • Change gas cylinders following the required procedure. Assist with clearing blocked drains. Comply with recommended safe working practices.
  • Connect and disconnect services to caravans. Assist with the removal of litter Report any maintenance issues immediately to line manager. Supervise and carry out any checklists and provide reports, as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Has to be prepared to work outdoors.

Further Information

The Employer is: HAGANS LEISURE. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
