The postholder will assist the Safeguarding Officer to ensure an effective and efficient listening ear service to all College students and to provide advice and guidance to staff as appropriate. The Deputy Safeguarding Officer will assist the Safeguarding Officer in the effective operation of the Health & Welfare function relating to Student Services..

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have at least a Level 4 qualification in any discipline.
- Demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, one years experience working with Children and/or Young People in a support role.
- Have a current driving licence and access to a car? (applicants with a disability (as defined in the Disability Discrimination Act 1995) who have been prevented from obtaining a driving licence due to their disability are eligible).
Desirable Skills
- Have successfully completed Safeguarding Training for Designated Officers (within the last three years).
