Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist
Job description
To ensure the systematic provision of a high quality specialist clinical neuropsychology service to adults with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) throughout the Trust area. This will include those with a long term brain injury previously known to CBIS, who are involved with the physical disability sub-directorate and those who meet a defined criteria. The Post Holder will be required to work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice and to ensure that systems are in place and working effectively for the clinical and professional supervision and support of all other psychologists (and non-psychology staff) within the area of ABI for which the post holder has designated professional responsibility, including clear systems for effective recruitment, professional appraisal, and the identification of CPD needs across the service. Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Post-qualification training in a specialised area of psychological practice relevant to clinical psychology as applied to neuropsychology.
