NIMDTA GP Training Co-ordinator - Band 5
Job description
The post-holder will support the effective organisation of the administrative functions in the GP Department by assisting in the management of the operational activities of the Specialty Training Department in particular the recruitment of GP trainees to programmes in Northern Ireland and be responsible for the allocation of doctors to training placements..
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in the delivery of the GP Departments day to day administrative activities.
- Contribute to the Departments Business Plan and relevant Service Level Agreements, prioritising own work and that of staff within the department to ensure the administrative functions of the department are carried out effectively.
- To adhere to NIMDTAs financial procedures in ordering goods and services, for the GP Department and authorise administrative expenditure up to the value of £1000.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Relevant degree or recognised professional qualification or equivalent higher qualification AND experience in a role in medical / dental education and training / Medical HR OR
- 3 Years experience in a role in medical/dental education and training / Medical HR.
- Hold a management qualification or have experience of managing a team of staff to ensure departmental objectives are met within a deadline driven work environment.
- Experience in use of Microsoft Office products including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent.
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criterion will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport See JD
Desirable Skills
- 1 years experience in the use of a recruitment system.
- Experience in report writing and taking minutes.
