Gerber Production Operator
Job description
Ensure all priority work is produced and dispatched as per date required. Ensure all work is produced to the highest quality standard, End garment must match order sheet, production targets are achieved, and production runs efficiently. .
Responsibilities
- Responsibility in ensuring the cutting machine is running at the correct speed and quality.
- Inspects and verifies details on printed garment are exactly as order form ie colour, size, fit, pattern, text, crest, names, numbers and quality.
- Ensure all orders are produced to date required and bundled with the correct ticket prior to dispatching
- Ensure all orders are produced to the high-quality standard required
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workstation at all times
- Achievement of operational KPIs
- Participate in all job training and coaching
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations at all times
- Ensure good working relations with colleagues
- Ensure that company polices are adhered to always, this includes Equal Opportunities Policy, Harassment Policy, Health and Safety Policy and Training Policy.
- Any other reasonable duties requested
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Transport printed fabric roles from shelf and load onto machine feeder in an efficient manner
- Ensure to complete preparation of the role on the machine prior to start up
- Attention to detail and ability to multi task
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to listen closely and assimilate information quickly. Able to ask clarifying questions and provide accurate information.
- Flexible and committed to meeting deadlines
- Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Working within a pressurised environment
- Must have the ability to distinguish between colours and a thorough approach to his/her work
- Must have high attention to detail and a very high focus on quality and accuracy. Prepared to carry out routine tasks time and time again
- Must possess good organisational skills and work to tight deadlines
