Falls Coordinator
Job description
Clinical lead and expert practitioner for the Trust wide Falls Service. Develop and lead a programme of clinical audit for falls services delivered across the Trust. Responsible with other clinical practitioners to lead the promotion of the falls strategy and falls service across the South Eastern Trust. .
Responsibilities
- Work as an expert practitioner in falls assessment, management and prevention and utilize highly specialist theoretical knowledge, clinical experience and advanced clinical reasoning on a daily basis.
- This will include cases of diverse or complex presentations and those referred from other health care professionals for a second opinion/advice on further management.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 5 years post graduate experience to include a minimum of 2 years at band 7 (or equivalent) working with a relevant clinical caseload. e.g. orthopaedics, elderly care rehabilitation or management of disability in acute or community settings.
Desirable Skills
- Attainment of a recognised qualification in Leadership or Management
