Job description

The post holder will be a member of the Operations Directorate. They will provide a range of high-quality planning and business support functions, including project management, to the Public Health Directorate in taking forward the work of the Public Health Agency (PHA) in achieving its objectives..

Responsibilities

• To provide business planning and project management support to the development of key PHA strategic plans, policies and documents, including the PHA annual business plan, ensuring the delivery of targets and objectives within agreed timescales
• Lead the production of key Corporate Strategy and Annual Business Plan products and plans.
• To assist the Director, Assistant Directors and other senior staff in meeting specific objectives laid down by the DoH or resulting from the PHAs Corporate Strategy and Annual Business Plan.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A university degree or relevant professional qualification and at least 2 years experience in project management or planning, within a complex organisation or
• Worked for at least 5 years in a project management and planning and performance management role within a complex organisation.
• Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport see JD
