Job description

Be responsible for promoting best practice through staff development and education ensuring optimal women's outcomes within the community and Midwifery Led unit settings. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification. .

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the educational / learning opportunities are reflective of the needs of the midwife and needs of the service
• Be responsible for coordinating the personal and professional development of all midwives staff within the Maternity services
• Work in close collaboration with external agencies, with the clinical and organisational multidisciplinary team of the Trust and link with Higher Education Institutions, CEC and other education providers to influence educational strategy

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Midwife on the live NMC Register
• Have five years post-registration experience at Band 6 or above and worked recently within a community or MLU environment

Desirable Skills

• Experience of initiating a project or change in clinical practice

Further Information

Salary: £41,659 - £47,672 per annum pro rata.
