The Employer is: PORTADOWN GOLF CLUB. We are looking for a reliable, honest and trustworthy individual with an eye for detail to join our team at Portadown Golf Club assisting our greens team as well as helping to maintain the grounds around the course and Clubhouse. .

Responsibilities

• Helping to mow and maintain all playing surfaces to a high standard.
• Carry out main golf course maintenance procedures.
• Scarifying/verti-cutting turf.
• Replacing divots.
• Applying nutrition and top-dressing to playing surfaces.
• Maintaining plants and garden beds around the course and grounds of Portadown Golf Club.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team taking instructions and working without supervision to a high standard.
• Ability to operate tractors and other machinery and a wide range of powered implements associated with the role.
• Good knowledge of health and safety and safe working practices.

Desirable Skills

• In date machinery, spraying, manual handling and first aid certificates.
• Ability to work weekends as and when required.
• A full driving license.
• Interest in golf.
• Experience of working on a golf course or similar capacity.
• Experience of working outdoors in a grounds maintenance role.

Further Information

The Employer is: PORTADOWN GOLF CLUB. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
