Funding/Communication Administrator


Job description

The Employer is: NEXT STEP TRANSITIONS CIC. Next Step Transitions is a small community interest company (not-for-profit) who require the support of a Funding/Communication Administrator who will work directly with the team to research and apply for funding opportunities and promote the business through social media. They will also help with general administrative duties when required..

Responsibilities

  • Research funding opportunities.
  • Maintain records of all funding opportunities.
  • Enhance relationships with key stakeholders and local businesses.
  • Support the Directors of Next Step Transitions in the completion of funding applications.
  • Create content for social media, website and press releases when required.
  • Ensure confidentiality of information relating to our participants and their families is maintained at all times.
  • Manage electronic mail and forward to relevant team members.
  • Develop, maintain and improve office administration.
  • Produce various documentation using several software packages including letters, reports and templates.
  • Provide administration and facilitation support for events, programmes and activities.
  • Carry out general administration duties as required e.g. photocopying, filing, post.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalents at C or above (including English and Maths).
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Experience of using Social Media.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Creativity.
  • Ability to work on their own and also as part of a team.
  • Experience of working with the public.

Desirable Skills

  • 2 A-Levels or equivalents at C or above.
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Experience of working with autistic people.
  • Experience of applying for funding.

Further Information

The Employer is: NEXT STEP TRANSITIONS CIC. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
