Job description

Due to continued growth, we require a Yard Person/Sales Advisor to work in our Banbridge yard. The individual should be hardworking, pleasant, enthusiastic, organised, have excellent communication skills and be able to use their own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers face to face and providing the highest possible service.
• Preparing orders for collection and delivery and ensuring sales documentation is completed.
• To have a general interest in the products we are selling (animal bedding, timber, solid fuel etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Maintaining stock levels.
• General housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, organised and tidy yard.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislations, regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Any other duties deemed necessary to ensure business objectives are met.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A good basic education which includes GCSE Maths and English.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and complete tasks thoroughly.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in driving a forklift and operating other similar machinery.

Further Information

The Employer is: FELIX MCEVOY LIMITED Although this is a full-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
