Events and Communications Support Officer

The Employer is: TRITERRA. We are seeking an individual who is results driven, to work as an Events and Communications Support Officer. This role involves providing essential administrative, marketing and coordinating support for sustainability related events and initiatives to ensure smooth operations and effective engagement with our partners and wider target audience. We are keen to work with a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for learning, getting involved and helping to create a positive impact..

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organising, and delivering events.
  • Helping to coordinate logistics, including venue arrangements, catering, and event materials.
  • Support in the delivery of event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Act as a liaison with event vendors and partners.
  • Assist in creating relevant and engaging content for various communication channels, including social media (primarily LinkedIn), the website (Wordpress) and ezines (via MailChimp), utilising software tools such as Canva.
  • Contribute to the execution of communication initiatives to reach and resonate with relevant target audiences.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries on social media platforms and maintain a positive online presence.
  • Provide general administrative support for events and initiatives undertaken within the business.
  • Support maintenance of accurate records of event attendance, feedback, and participant information.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Support the management of scheduling, correspondence, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Work closely with the business owner to ensure seamless communication, collaboration and delivery on all initiatives.
  • Actively contribute ideas to enhance the overall success of events, initiatives and communication strategies.
  • Any other duties arising in relation to effective, timely and high quality delivery and service provision.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • GCSE or equivalent in both Maths and English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Flexibility when required to attend events, engage with partners, or research new locations.
  • Confident in the using Microsoft Office applications (in particular Word and Excel).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team an independently.
  • Willingness to learn, and work to achieve results.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in organising or assisting with events set.
  • Desire to create memorable experiences for our clients/customers.
  • Digital marketing experience.
  • Experience in creating content (various).
  • Experience of using Mailchimp and / or Canva.
  • Experience in using Wordpress.
  • Experience of working / engaging with external partners / customers.
  • Experience within the sustainability sector.

Further Information

The Employer is: TRITERRA. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
