Job description

Dental Nurse or Trainee Dental Nurse based in Strabane.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist chairside and maintaining impeccable standards of hygiene and cross infection control according to the latest guidelines and following practice procedures and policy.
• Clean and sterilise instruments.
• Care for patients during and after treatment.
• Accurately record, label and send dental lab work.
• Accurately record patient information and charting status.
• Preparing fillings and other materials.
• Providing support and reassurance to the patient.
• Decontamination.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Prepared to learn and work with practice policy and guidelines.
• Good organisational skills.
• Working as part of a team.
• If applying as a Trainee Dental Nurse you must be prepared to enrol on the Dental Nurse course.

Further Information

Temporary position to cover maternity leave, although hours could be extended and become a permanent position.
