Centre Support Officer
Job description
Responsible to Grow the Glens Management and Board. Occasional evening work and a flexible approach will be expected. Grow the Glens operates a system of time off in lieu and does not pay overtime..
Responsibilities
- The main focus will be to assist in the management of the Cushendall Innovation Centre and to sustain a range of activities.
- Assist with running, mentoring, training and other enterprise programmes for the centre and local businesses.
- Liaise with other local and regional bodies.
- Engage with relevant partner organisations and stakeholders.
- Assist with delivering innovative social enterprise.
- Assist with creating income generation opportunities.
- Provide opportunities for brand promotion.
- Liaise with existing and potential tenants and help new tenants to set up in building.
- Assist with delivery of existing projects.
- Assist with developing and achieving innovative and realistic income generation, fundraising and business development initiatives.
- Support tenants with IT and infrastructure issues.
- Assist Board to manage and deliver on a social media, profile raising and publicity strategy.
- Ensure the maintenance, retention and disposal of records and ensure compliance with FOI and GDPR regulations.
- Maintain databases, emails and internet systems as required.
- Attend internal, external meetings and events when required.
- Ensure high health and safety standards.
- Ensure centre is maintained in good condition.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required and may be agreed from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and to help others to do likewise.
- Basic IT - Microsoft Word, Outlook or Apple equivalent.
- Knowledge and use of social media - Facebook, Instagram.
- GCSE Maths and English.
- Ability to communicate positively and productively with clients on 1-1 basis.

The Employer is: GROW THE GLENS CIC LTD Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. 16/17 £6.40, 18/20yrs £8.60, 21yrs or over £11.44 per hour.
