Production Operator
Job description
Capable of producing a garment from cut pieces to the finished product ensuring a high-quality standard..
Responsibilities
- Ability to work on a busy production line.
- Ability to follow instructions for makeup of garments.
- All orders must be completed to the required quality standard.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Specifications and performance targets within department.
- Must have the ability to distinguish between colours and a thorough approach to his/her work.
- Prepared to carry out routine tasks time and time again.
- Maintain an efficient and organised work environment in line with 5S procedures within department.
- Participate in all job training and coaching.
- Achievement of operational KPIs/targets.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Ensure good working relations with colleagues.
- Any other reasonable duty as required.
- Ensure that absenteeism and tardiness are kept to a minimum.
- Ensure that company polices are always adhered to. This includes Equal Opportunities Policy, Harassment Policy, Health and Safety Policy, and Training Policy.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Time management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to listen closely and assimilate information quickly.
- Able to ask clarifying questions and provide accurate information.
- Well organised.
- Flexible and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to deal with people in a tactful way and work within a pressurised environment.
Desirable Skills
- Computer literate (including Microsoft Office applications).
- Experience working on a production line.
- Experience working different types of machines.
Further Information
The Employer is: O'NEILLS IRISH INTERNATIONAL SPORTS CO. LTD. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
