Production Operator


Job description

Capable of producing a garment from cut pieces to the finished product ensuring a high-quality standard..

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work on a busy production line.
  • Ability to follow instructions for makeup of garments.
  • All orders must be completed to the required quality standard.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Specifications and performance targets within department.
  • Must have the ability to distinguish between colours and a thorough approach to his/her work.
  • Prepared to carry out routine tasks time and time again.
  • Maintain an efficient and organised work environment in line with 5S procedures within department.
  • Participate in all job training and coaching.
  • Achievement of operational KPIs/targets.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Ensure good working relations with colleagues.
  • Any other reasonable duty as required.
  • Ensure that absenteeism and tardiness are kept to a minimum.
  • Ensure that company polices are always adhered to. This includes Equal Opportunities Policy, Harassment Policy, Health and Safety Policy, and Training Policy.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Time management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to listen closely and assimilate information quickly.
  • Able to ask clarifying questions and provide accurate information.
  • Well organised.
  • Flexible and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to deal with people in a tactful way and work within a pressurised environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Computer literate (including Microsoft Office applications).
  • Experience working on a production line.
  • Experience working different types of machines.

Further Information

The Employer is: O'NEILLS IRISH INTERNATIONAL SPORTS CO. LTD. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
