Job description

We are looking for a well organised Oven Cleaner to help deliver day to day operations and ensure the smooth delivery of our service. You will be joining a team that offers ongoing training and development opportunities. The role involves cleaning domestic appliances (ovens, hobs, extractor fans, washing machines, fridge freezers etc.) at customer premises i.e. private houses, businesses, holiday lets etc. You will be partnered with an experienced appliance technician for training until you are ready to work independently in a company van. Your diary will be scheduled for you and jobs will be located in Northern Ireland with ad hoc travel to the Republic of Ireland to deliver appliance valets. Ongoing training will be provided to support the successful candidate as they progress and settle into the role..

Responsibilities

• Valet appliances to a high standard.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Accurately operate IT required for the job e.g. iPad.
• Act as a point of contact between the company and customers.
• Complete forms and workflows as part of day-to-day duties.
• Cash handling and payment processing.
• Undertake driving as part of day-to-day duties.
• Willingness to complete internal and external training to progress skills.
• Any other duties as and when required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Fluent in English as this is the main language of our client base.
• Proficient in iPad use.
• Good organisational skills/time management.
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills working with the public and within the team.
• Keen to learn and develop skills.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Desirable Skills

• Previous driving experience.
• Experience in customer service.
• Previous cleaning experience.
• Knowledge/experience of appliance installation or repair.

Further Information

The Employer is: THE OVEN AND APPLIANCE CLEANING COMPANY. Work Time: Operating hours are between Monday to Thursday 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-6pm and weekend overtime available. 25 hour week working pattern to be discussed and agreed with successful applicant. Salary: Under 18 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 & over £11.44 per hour. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. We are a family run company with nearly 20 years of experience in the services industry. The main service we deliver is oven and appliance valets and we operate across Northern Ireland and throughout the Republic of Ireland. The ideal candidate will work independently with regular in-person/virtual team meetings.
