Job description

ThePostalStore offers fulfilment services to clients in the UK and Ireland. Goods are either stored in our locations or we offer a 'Cross Dock' service whereby goods come into us on a daily basis and we ship them on the same day. This position is within our fulfilment business and the post holder will be working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints through the day to get parcels out on time. Working within a team environment, no day is the same and a willingness to learn and to be able to change tact at anytime is important in this role..

Responsibilities

• Each day the individual will receive work orders from our warehouse management system. The individual will have to pick those orders, pack those orders and ship them.
• Full training will be provided and shadowing of an existing staff member will be in place until the individual feels comfortable in the role.
• Manual handling is a prerequisite and the individual is expected to lift parcels in excess of 15kg but no greater than 25kg.
• Manual handling training will be provided.
• The individual will need to be comfortable using technology as we use scanners on all orders we fulfil.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good basic knowledge of computers.
• Able to lift parcels in excess of 15kg but no greater than 25kg.
• Able to be comfortable changing workloads at a moment's notice.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

Further Information

The Employer is: THEPOSTALSTORE UK LTD. Salary: Under 18 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 & over £11.44 per hour. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
