Pharmacist Band 7 NIAS
Job description
NIAS is seeking to appoint a highly motivated pharmacist. The post-holder will work with the Lead Pharmacist to develop medicines management policy and practice within the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service The person appointed will work within a multidisciplinary team in order to safely empower staff to manage medicines safely and in line with legislation, guidance and best practice. .
Responsibilities
- To develop medicines management standards with the NIAS HSCT.
- In conjunction with the Lead Pharmacist, develop and maintain a medicines management policy and procedures for NIAS, in accordance with legislation and best practice guidance, to include the safe selection, procurement, supply, storage, admin
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- M.Pharm. or equivalent
- Be a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or eligible for membership
Desirable Skills
- Experience of conducting audit/ research/ new service implementation projects.
