Full Job Description will be sent out along with the application form. Main responsibilities: The afterschool and holiday club leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the afterschool club during term time, and the holiday club during school holidays. The leader must ensure a responsive, nurturing, stimulating, safe and inclusive environment for children aged 4-8 years. The afterschool and holiday club leader has an essential role in the development of the club as a reputable, sustainable, well organised business and must ensure the delivery of an excellent service both to the children attending and the parents/carers relying on it for quality childcare provision. The afterschool and holiday club leader is required to undertake extensive planning and organising for holiday clubs well in advance of the holiday club schedule. .
Responsibilities
- Carrying out the daily administration of the club including maintaining the daily register.
- Ensuring adequate supervision of children at all times by maintaining staff/children ratios and effective deployment of staff, delegating tasks as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience of working with children aged between 3 and 8 years, providing quality play opportunities. Excellent communication, computer and organisational skills.
- Level 3 or 5 in Children's Care Learning and Development.
Desirable Skills
- More than 2 years of continuous paid experience of working with children aged between 3 and 8 years and experience of working with children in an early years setting.
- Valid First Aid, Child Protection, and Food Hygiene Certificates
