Job description

The employer is: SMD CONTRACTS. Assistant to main van driver undertaking collections and deliveries across NI. loading and unloading bulky waste for recycling and reuse. Delivery of reuse items to customers and ensuring yard duties are completed daily. Responsibilities

• Van upkeep (oil & water check, tyres, lights, taillift etc).
• Cleaning and washing of van inside and out.
• Proper loading and unloading of both bulky waste and items for sale and delivery.
• Route planning.
• Customer liaison.
• Yard upkeep and organisation.
• Daily job detail completion via online app.
• Completion and submission of daily work sheet.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Open to learning and willing to take instruction in order to help your understanding of the different aspects of the job.
• You will hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport to work.
• This is a customer facing role so will require you to be courteous and well turned out at all times.
• Full support and training will be provided. Working methods and implementation will be fully disclosed.

Desirable Skills

• Thinking on your feet will be required often as the work pattern changes daily.
• We are looking for someone who wants to excel in the position.
• Be familiar with online ap info entry and submission (training given).

Further Information

The employer is: SMD CONTRACTS. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary - To be confirmed.
