Job description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible and assist in daily lubrication maintenance activities. As Lubrication Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of mechanical systems and equipment within the facilities. This role involves executing scheduled tasks, conducting inspections, and carrying out lubrication maintenance as directed by team leaders to minimise downtime and maximise productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance. Responsibilities Applying lubricants to moving parts to prevent premature wear and ensure optimal machine performance. Lubricating bearings, motors, chains etc. Replacing air and oil filters as required. Servicing off gearboxes. Collecting oil samples for lab analysis. Topping up oil reserves. Changing oil and cleaning out oil reserves during shutdowns or planned stops. Performing routine checks on Pemac. Keeping control of the oil store inventory. Adhere to all Health and Safety in the workplace. Forklift experience desirable. In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude and be willing to upskill and continuously improve operations and Implement 5S(Lean) principles throughout site. Have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, achieve targets and prioritise workload, be able to meet the physical and health requirements of the role, have strong communication skills..
