Job description

Now into their 54th year M Large is one of the leading providers of forestry equipment in the UK. We have an opening for an additional Mechanic/plant fitter to service and repair our own and customers equipment..

Responsibilities

• Working in a modern fully equipped workshop with some on site repairs.
• Repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the equipment.
• Working as part of a team or individually.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs to a range of forestry, construction/agricultural machinery and commercial vehicles.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety in all work and operations.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and service activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in the repair of plant and equipment and or commercial vehicles.
• Good all-round mechanical skills.
• Knowledge of electrics, electronics and hydraulics.

Desirable Skills

• A valid driving licence, HGV a distinct advantage.
• Welding skills, fabrication an advantage.
