Job description

Provide and maintain a professional, confidential, high standard of care to the patients of the practice. Provide and assist in the treatment room services including: Full phlebotomy service, Wound management, Blood pressures, General observations..

Responsibilities

• Assist members of the nursing team including: Stock Control, Computer data input, Process INR results on the computer, Assist in infection control, Assist in data collection for returns, Participate and assist in nurse led clinics.
• Liaise with laboratories.
• Give general lifestyle advice when appropriate.
• Prepare treatment room area for GP procedures.
• Assist GPs in their surgeries when necessary.
• Minor injury service.
• Test urine samples.
• Vaccinations.
• Nebuliser administration (when authorised).
• ECGs.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• RGN qualification with 2 years post graduate general nursing experience and be able to work on a flexible rota basis when required.

Desirable Skills

• An appropriate post graduate qualification in Asthma or COPD, approved cervical screening course.

Further Information

£33,793.50 pro-rata per annum. Interview date 24/05/2024
