Governance Lead Radiographer
Job description
The post holder will support the Trust Radiology Services Manager in planning, co-ordinating and evaluating the various Governance Systems implemented across the NHSCT Radiology Service. The post holder will promote, lead and participate in the advancement of a comprehensive and integrated Quality and Governance System across the Service to ensure compliance with the trusts governance and risk framework. This includes complaint handling, gathering patient feedback, patient safety, incident reporting and meeting the regulatory requirements of external standards and inspection such as those undertaken by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA). The post holder will lead on Governance, quality management and audit and will support the Clinical Leads with the implementation and appropriate clinical audit of Service Standards (NICE, ISAS etc.). .
Responsibilities
- To lead the Quality, Audit and Governance Team in the operational management and professional delivery of this Radiology objective, including achievement of audit and development targets, completion of clinical audit work schedules
- To assist the Clinical Services Manager with the co-ordination of, and response to, complaints and incidents
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Applicants must have a degree/Diploma in Radiography
- At least 4 years experience at Band 7 level or above
- Be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
