Pharmacy Patient Services Manager (with on call)
Job description
In order to meet the overall mission of the Trust the post holder will: Manage the pharmacy dispensary services in line with Trust and government priorities. Provide professional leadership to the dispensary team, acting as a role model with regard to the quality and standards of service provided. Promote and support the continued development of extended roles for technicians to improve patient care. Work within procurement and patient services to develop and continually improve the service .
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an effective pharmacy service ensuring delivery of high quality patient focussed care and promoting safe, effective and economic use of drugs as well as ensuring Trust targets for medicines management can be met.
- Implementation of changes to medicine legislation, good practice guidelines and agreed service developments.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- MPharm or equivalent and registered with or eligible to register with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI)
- Hold a minimum of a post graduate masters in relevant area of pharmacy - Applicants actively undertaking their Masters project will be considered for this post.
