Early Years Deputy Leader
Job description
Early Years the organisation for young children wish to recruit an Early Years Deputy Leader to work in Mourne SureStart. The role is permanent, 16 hours per week, term time. Working hours are Tuesday to Friday 9am to 1pm. The post holder will be involved in service delivery within the Mourne SureStart area and specifically for the delivery and on-going development of the Programme for Two Year Olds. This will include working in partnership with families to promote and facilitate positive parenting and the enhancement of the role of parents as ‘first educators’. .
Responsibilities
- The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Leader in ensuring the overall safety and well being of the children; for implementing the standards laid down by SureStart and Early Years the organisation for young children and Social Services.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Two years post qualifying experience working with young children in an early years group-based setting.

Desirable Skills
- BA in Early Years Childhood Studies or equivalent.
