Job description

To be responsible for the management, development and delivery of Early Years Services in a variety of settings; (creche and/or the Sure Start Developmental Programme for 2-3 year old's if required) Ensuring there is a safe, caring and welcome environment for the children and their families..

Responsibilities

• To deliver & manage the Early Years services including crèche and/or the Developmental Programme for 2 -3 Year Olds (if required) within a safe, secure and healthy environment.
• To provide care which meets the individual needs of children and ensures their overall safety and well-being.
• To plan and manage the implementation of a daily routine which addresses the individual needs of children, using a variety of play and learning opportunities.
• Supervise staff members, arrange and chair team meetings on a regular basis. To attend and facilitate appraisals as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• QCF Level 5 Diploma in children's care, learning and development or equivalent qualification in Early Years.

Desirable Skills

• 1 years supervisory experience as a Leader working with children aged 0-5 in a paid capacity
