Job description

To be part of a team responsible for providing a high quality and highly specialised orthoptic and visual field service for patients of all ages and abilities..

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and formulate a programme of treatment for new patients from al recognised referral sources.
• Be responsible for patients undergoing orthoptic treatment as an in or out patient and to liaise with the Manager of Orthoptic services regarding problems arising.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 2 yearrs experience at band 5 (or equivalent position outside of NHS) or above. Degree/Diploma in Orthoptics. Registered with the Health Care Professions Council or eligible to register.

Desirable Skills

• Qualified experience over & above essential level. Relevant courses or training. Higher education qualification.
