Job description

Reporting to the Production Team Leader you will ensure the efficient and effective running of the production line by providing assistance to the printing and finishing teams. You will have the opportunity to train on a variety of machinery and equipment to become multi skilled. .

Responsibilities

• Assist members of the team to ensure efficient and effective operations at all times
• Ensure that all quality standards and customer requirements are met
• Undertake training to operate machinery and equipment as required
• General cleaning and maintenance of work areas, machinery and equipment
• Assist in packing goods into boxes and preparing for despatch
• Follow all operating and quality procedures
• Carry out required quality checks and complete documentation correctly
• Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as required

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good mathematical ability at GCSE or equivalent level
• Computer literate - a GCSE or equivalent in IT would be an advantage
• Good attention to detail
• Good colour awareness - ability to spot differences
• Good communication skills
• Willingness and ability to train in print

Desirable Skills

• Experience of working in a fast moving environment
• Experience of working in a factory/manufacturing environment
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team
• Self motivated and able to work with little supervision
