Residential Support Worker.
Responsibilities
- Research and share information on services within the Statutory, Community, Voluntary Services that could benefit BCM SHYP projects in the Mid Ulster area.
- Work as part of the SHYP Dungannon Team, providing holistic support to service users and colleagues
- Assist service users to engage with activities, as identified by them, review, and monitor progress towards agreed goals
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 1 year experience working with young people in a community or residential setting (previous volunteer experience acceptable)
- Knowledge of safeguarding protocols in children and adults and associated escalation processes
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and develop supportive relationships with young and older people and external agencies
Desirable Skills
- Ability to work as a member of a broader team to achieve goals and quality outcomes
Further Information
Work time: Days - rota based including evenings and weekend over 4 days.
