Job description

To assist, organize, control and actively participate in the provision and development of the Magnetic Resonance Safety in the WHSCT MRI service. The post holder must ensure that a high quality, efficient and effective service is available at all times. The post holder will work closely with radiography, radiology and other key stakeholders to deliver a patient focused service in an environment of professional excellence. Responsibilities

• To assist in the strategic planning, organization and implementation of an effective radiographic imaging service, with particular responsibility for MRI Safety within the MRI service
• To ensure the smooth operation of an efficient MRI service on a daily basis through the effective organization and co-ordination of tasks and the efficient management of resources with respect to MRI safety queries
• To be aware of MRI waiting time statistics, target compliance and have an understanding of service pressures in order to manage the changing demands

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 5 years post graduate experience to include 3 years experience in MRI at Band 6 Level And BSc (Hons) Diagnostic in Radiography
• Or DCR(R) or equivalent And Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC) Registration (or be eligible to apply) And Post Graduate Certificate Qualification or equivalent in MR Imaging
• And Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) Course (or willing to complete within 18 months of taking up post) And American Board of MR Safety MRSO certification or equivalent (or within 18 months of appointment)

Location: To be confirmed on appointment. Salary: £41,659 - £47,672 per annum pro rata.
