Job description

The Care Assistant works as a member of a team delivering care to the residents. As a team member the Care Assistant contributes to the fulfilment of Woodmount Nursing Home’s philosophy of care, ensuring the resident’s privacy, dignity, respect and choice and supports the Nursing staff in the delivery of nursing care .

Responsibilities

• Enable and assist patients to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance. Enable and assist patients to eat and drink. Enable and assist patients to access and use toilet facilities.
• Enable and assist patients to maintain and improve their mobility. Maintain high level of communication between patients family and staff, developing good relationships.
• Assisting in the maintenance of high standard of cleanliness in the home. Contribute to the maintenance of health and safety in the home. Attend all mandatory training. Adhere to Woodmount Nursing Home policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience and Health & Social Care qualifications preferable.
